today i say 3 minutes of the race and 1 hour 40 of adverts. ridiculous. average an ad break every 3 minutes. joke coverage.

yeah it's back on the bbc from next year, hopefully they'll have learnt a lot from what ITV have done and will take a lot of the good parts and put them into practice without the breaks.

Lets just hope we dont have to put up with them missing races completly because they interfere with eastenders or shifting it across channels mid race etc.

Oh and hopefully they'll use the old theme tune too and not some crap 'modern' mix of it.

    Wait until Wimbledon is on

Or some golf then we won't get the Grand Prix at all.

Micky Finn will try to tell you otherwise, but I've been watching formula 1 for almost 30 years and there have been numerous occasions in the past when the BBC just didn't put the race on. ITV never missed a race. The adverts are **** like.

    I agree

I definetly remember races being missed because they clashed. With the digital services at least that shouldnt happen but i'll not be happy if they just shunt it on to bbc 3 to make way for the same boring events they show every year.

but not an event that dominates the BBC's scheduling every year like I said before you randomly made a comment about f1 being boring

You're right, Jay, I will tell you otherwise.

I don't doubt the schedulers fecked about with channels for F1 (they're like that...and it's a PITA) but BBC Sport always showed the race. Not sure where you got that nugget of information from, but unfortunately it's just not true.

    You're wrong

I get "that nugget of information" from being a F1 fan for 30 years. It happened many times. I've no idea why you want to argue it.
