Someone in Barnsley isn't a fan..... https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/11543090/nhs-tribute-mural-fleur-jones-neighbour-letter-remove/
there are some reyt miserable bastads out there still. Would love it if the rest of that estate chalked up too.
I live on the estate. The Clap For Carers always gets a good turnout, there are very many rainbows on display, but I pass this chalked on rainbow everyday on my daily bike ride and think it’s smashing. The letter of complaint stated words to the effect of ‘people take pride of their homes here’, but a little girl taking pride in the NHS and showing it in a non permanent way, on the side of her home is really quite heart warming. It’ll just be some miserable/snobby @rse as it isn’t even posh, up here, just a nice family estate.
as I said JBP I would love it if the rest of the estate chalked up.... as it could reveal the miserable bugger who would most probably not do.
When/if you see the Jones next JBP tell them she is doing a wonderful thing and I am proud of her, as I am sure the Majority of Tarn folk are. Totally shocked at this story its just so Un Yorkshire like behaviour.
Have to wonder why the Dad even told the little girl about the note though. A lot of drama over nothing .
I did think that. Also, there’s no way a 5 year old did that, it’s huge and she would never have the stamina to colour all that in and wouldn’t be able to draw a heart that well. The person who posted the letter is a miserable sod though!
I think the girl did the bricks in the small wall in front not the big wall on the house. If you look the wall next to the door is drawn well with quite deep colours, the small wall close to the camera looks more like a child has done it. I wouldn't be surprised if the letter refers to that wall not the rainbow
Another link here How many walls are drawn on? This shows a third wall and again it's too high for a child to have done https://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/...IDuI_f7IF-0GS6yrBsC2bTw1ZFX_R_Gwvp7A-Jqj-fNYQ
Well obviously but the story is written for maximum drama that the 5 year old did it and was scared she was in trouble so the police went around to reassure her etc. rather than dad just read it and chucked it in the bin without saying anything to her. If you got a letter like that would you tell your 5 year old kid that the neighbour is angry and she might get in trouble?
agreed , but that was not the point I was making . Super tyke intoned she could not have done it. I was merely saying perhaps she asked her Dad if they could do it and he helped. Many young kids are doing stuff like this.
She couldn’t have done it. Whilst she could have asked dad for help, dad was trying to make out like she did it all for maximum sympathy. Not that it matters, the neighbour was just being miserable, I just thought I’d bring it up as the miserableness has already been agreed upon.
