My contract came to a end last week so i called to see if they could get my bill down otherwise i would cancel

They agreed to knock £15.00 per month for 12 months but still meant i would be paying nearly £80.00 per month

So i cancelled the full subscription and got my partner to call the next day as a new customer and now we have the exact same package for the next 12 months for £38.50

Doesn't matter if you live at the same address just say you have split up just saved me £498.00 per year

obviously the original subscription must only be in one name not joined

    Result

So you were paying £95 per month for Sky? Eye watering! I presume that includes your broadband and phone line as well?

I'm glad I can get Sky Sports 1 and 2 through my phone for nothing but when The Ashes starts later in the summer I might have to succumb and add them to my BT Vision order. Or maybe not :)

For all of 2012 and some of 2013, I had every channel for £28 per month (I've had to look that up on my bank statement as I couldn't remember), when I cancelled they were willing to give me it for another 12 months at something ridiculous like £18 a month, that was for entertainment package plus sports, movies and HD, no other services.

I still cancelled it, I never watched TV so giving me it for a pound a month wouldn't have made a difference.

I pay fook all at the moment apart from £30 a month for broadband and phone. Get an android TV box with kodi and everything is free. There is a great addon for it at the moment called iptv stalker which has over 600 channels, it's been in test for free about 3 months now and they are adding more channels daily. Will go paid at some point but only going to charge $108 per year when it does

If you'd have gone through Quidco, you could have got up to £130 cashback on top of that ;)

I pay Virgin Media £20 a month for a Tivo minimum TV package, Telephone and 100mb broadband. (Paid line rental 12 months in advance).

I also pay Sky £25 for Sky+ HD with everything. Movies, Sports, HD, 3D ;)

Managed to drop on the £25 for 25 months friends and family deal last year. This offer has now ended.

    Quidco.com
Basically a portal to standard websites.
Always search for what you want then see what's available thru Quidco
Got £1000 back in last 3 years

It's a referral site where you get the £'s rather than the agent getting the introductory commission.
been using em for over 8 years and made £3.6K+ cashback.
For example, bust renewed house insurance. New policy from Avivs £133. Only because I've gone through Quidco, I get £40 cashback. Making it £93.

Sounds interesting. Are you saying that you can get Sky Sports for nowt via that box or the same games streamed from elsewhere?
