Going tonight for food and drinks with my girlfriend, anyone recommend a decent place to eat, not too fussy over the type of food really.
I like Turquaz on London Road. Its above an Asian supermarket and the entrance is up the side and looks not too promising. However once inside the place is great. Good food. Surprisingly good house wine and the mixed kebab is great lots of good reviews (including mine) on Trip adviser ( watch out for the 'hidden' hot chilli though) Open kitchen so you can see what is going on, generous portions . The meze starters are pretty good too but careful as the mains are, as I say pretty generous. Been a few times and never disappointed. On our 'visit list' when we are back in UK in October.
Relish on Eccy road is good with good atmosphere. I would stay away from town personally although silversmiths is good. If you want cheap good quality noodles, Mexican, Indian etc go to London road
We've been to Amigos Mexican Kitchen a few times on London Road. It's decent food (my Mrs is Mexican) and reasonably priced. It's nowt fancy inside like but if you like mexican food at a reasonable price its worth a visit.
I went to Sliversmith's on the back of Chef Tyke's recommendation and I've been back a couple of times since. Excellent. But I think you'll struggle to get a table tonight. I don't actually agree with Chef Tyke that you should keep out of the centre though. I reckon there's quite a few good places, even if they're not quite up to the standards of Silversmiths. We've eaten at Ego, Piccolino and Mama's and Leonies which are all good Italian/Mediterranean places around the theatre. Strada on Leopold Square is just a chain Italian but it's really good.
'kin 'ell. I'm offering you advice after you've already been. Learn to look at post timings Jay you arse.
Bit late now but Mexican Canteen on Arundel Street is awesome. Other than that Rajput in Commonside is a top notch Indian, and the chippy New Cod on the Block is always excellent!
