how this unknown from Chelt scored and was then mobbed by all the team, all unknown to him. All jumped on him, reyt chuffed they were. Good team spirit, even for someone new into the side.
And after the celebrations ...........and after the team had nearly jumped into the Ponti a young kid was led away by stewards And the crowd booood Why ??? Was it in support of the young guy ??? Or against him ??? I was in the West Stand so dint see what went off
DIdn't see it myself... But believe he fell over the advertising hoardings onto the pitch while celebrating and the police got all heavy handed and dragged him out so the booing was direced at the police not the lad.
I guess someone saw sense and let him back in.

We have been thru this before................ If Barnsley players run to the Ponti and celebrate with the fans after scoring a goal If fans then join in the celebration and for a few seconds end up on the field - so be it Can't blame the players........Can't blame the fans
RE: We have been thru this before................ Well I don't agree with you about not blaming the fans but I don't think you could in this case. He just fell onto the pitch according to those in the ponty.

RE: DIdn't see it myself... He was brought back by plod some 10 minutes later and recieved a hero's welcome from The Ponty and the end of the East Stand.
Same old story 6' hairy arsed bloke jumps over the fence then he gets ushered back in, scrawny kid does it, then the full weight of South Yorkshire's finest is brought to bear upon him.
RE: Same old story The kid climbed over of his own free will and then moved away from the celebrating players and started jumping up and down and waving at the Ponty End. This is clearly seen on the higlights video.
It was a steward who escorted him to the corner of Ponty and East stands where he was given a talking to and then returned back to watch the last few seconds of the game.

RE: Same old story Aye, alright.
Let's see what happens when one of the lunatic fringe do it.
Not condoning the kid by any means. Just wish fans of all sizes and fighting abilities were treat equally.

RE: Same old story........................players celebrating by running up to the wall of the Ponti If they kept away from the Ponti there would be no fans running on the field Simple as that You can't blame fans celebrating a goal with the players when the players are stood just at the opposite side of a small wall Now, if the players were celebrating a goal towards the centre circle and fans joined in there - of course they want ejecting from the ground Simple solution - tell the players NOT to run at the Ponti End fans after scoring
RE: Same old story........................players celebrating by running up to the wall of the Ponti Players were celebrating at the right of the goal (looking at it from field of play), kid came on at the left side.
