Colgan has been brilliant this season and deserves a lot of credit for us having one of the best defences in the league. He had his doubters at the start of the season and he has proved them all wrong. He has been a solid influence at the back and has pulled off some top class saves when needed.

For me, he is the best keeper we have had since Dave Watson. When you consider some of the clowns we've tried over the last few years (Sasa Ilic, Tony Bullock etc), it makes you appreciate having a player of international quality in the nets.

Miller away at Palace

One of the best performances I've seen from him. It was "Miller for england" that day.

RE: Miller away at Palace

it was the genuine loathing of the Palace fans that made him play like that-you fat Barsteward from beginning to end-they felt he had let goals in on purpose cos he hadn't been paid when he was with them -made a great penalty save-and barnard scored twice in first few minutes-missed both as we were delayed !!

Cant disagree more.

He has a perpetual fear of coming off his line, Our back four are always under pressure dealing with balls a good gaolkeeper eats for breakfast.
Yes he has improved, but he had to..
Yes he has made some good saves, but HES SUPPOSED TO BE A GOALKEEPER, MAKING SAVES.

Our back fours mistrussed in him is evident in every game. Without fail.

Only last week was he rooted to the spot when the Port Vale sub headered in their equaliser, from the view I had, he could have had his feet moving much earlier to give himself a chance.
Oh and he's a dwarf, and I know, so is Shay Given, but Shay Given is an exceptional Goalkeeper.

Agreed to some

i think he is a good keeper, but if we could get someone who isnt rooted to his line that would be fantastic

I criticised him for the Port Vale goal..

Until I saw it on TV.

No goalkeeper would have saved that, it was an unbelievable header.

more at fault .............

was Heckingbottom who didn't attempt to head the ball so the striker had a free header-still felt Colgan might have moved towards the ball though! despite that he's not done a lot wrong

Picky picky

You're overlooking the fact that we're in the THIRD DIVISION.

If he was good at shot-stopping AND coming off his line he wouldn't be playing for us.
