Here's a selection of my favourite quotes from this article:

Mr Griffin tweeted: “Being bankrupt does not prevent me being or standing as an MEP. It does free me from financial worries. A good day!

"I am now turning the experience to the benefit of hard-up constituents by producing a booklet on dealing with debt. No surrender."

And a quote I do actually like from the reporter: Needless to say, these comments are likely to be about as popular as… Being a member of the BNP must be.

Haha, apologies; didn't mean to mislead..

My personal favourite quote in the article is-

"Look at it this way," he said. "Michael Schumacher has millions in the bank, but he'd do anything to be in Nick's position now wouldn't he."

How did he think this was a good idea??

"At least there's nothing false about Nick" - well, apart from his eye, Simon.

He is a total knob head.

His policies are copied from loads of people going back hundreds of years.

They are as stupid & out dated as he is.

His one appearance on Question Time showed him to be in a minute minority.

Its a pretty stupid idea but then again what do you expect from people who think racism is a good policy. Giving the story more credence than its worth if I had a choice between being a 5 x world champion who has achieved legendary status but be fighting for my life or be Nick Griffin bancrupt or otherwise I know which I would chose.

    Just hope Schumaker pulls through

Their stupidity is breath-taking. Personally I think that was the BNP's main downfall... stupidity. Even when they began to attract some support they scored own goal after own goal by making stupid statements. Even people who were attracted to their racist tendencies couldn't vote for a party making themselves look so ridiculous in public. The only good thing that party did was to help expose the grooming gangs operating across the north of England. Time they all moved on now and stopped embarassing themselves.

whatever you think of him,his appearance on QT was a complete and utter set up.It would never be allowed to happen against anyone else, except perhaps Farage now he's making inroads and scaring one or two in Westminster.

He was stupid to go on it as even when it's held in Tory-run areas the whole audience are Labour voters, and often Labour activists and Councillors, it's so biased it's laughable really.

Nick griffin it wouldn't surprise me if he's been working for Mi5 all along, he did go to Cambridge the traditional recruiting ground for spies, either that or he really is thick.

He did expose the grooming gangs which the establishment covered up and also said there would be British Muslim terrorists in the UK, which he was actually arrested and put on trial for although the jury had little option but to find him not guilty when 7/7 happened.

My grandad fought fascism spent the best years of his life in a German POW camp. Hated fascists and racists he had seen up close what the outcome of racism is. He used to walk up people like Farage and Griffin in Barnsley Tarn centre when they were the good old national front and embarrass the **** out of them I've never seen anyone look so cowed as when he recounted his experiences and accused them of trying to deliver what Hitler started. They both got off easy.
