But was not even on the bench on Wednesday. He was not cup-tied because he played the full 120 at Scunny. Was he injured? Dibble has gone out on loan, but the transfer of Townsend would be bad news for Walton. I suppose it would keep him at his current place in the pecking order if Dibble went permanently as well. Btw - I thought that Townsend played a blinder at Scunny. Good signing if it comes off for around £50k, or so.
Wasn't he on the bench? Pretty sure I saw him warming up at half time. He wasn't on the bench Saturday due to having a maximum of five loans in the squad.
Waltons only 17-18, let him develop a bit more in u21's/u18s for a year or so then he can have his chance.
He was on the bench. Will need a good signing for us. Played very well at Scunny. Sent from my GT-I9195 using Tapatalk
Him signing permanently means he can be on the bench week in, week out because his loan doesn't affect anything. He's a good goalkeeper at this level, based on what I saw at Scunny and has the potential to be a good Championship goalkeeper as well. Definitely suit our transfer policy and if he does sign, can push Adam Davies all the way to a starting place.
Sorry! He was on the bench on Wednesday, but it was the Bradford City game where he did not feature even on the bench. Just wondered why?
We had 5 other loans in the squad for Bradford game so he missed out. Harris was cup tied so missed out on the Everton game.
Would make our goalkeeping department look very strong Two very good, but young first team keepers in Davies and Townsend, and two good prospects in Dibble and Walton
Bit premature is that statement. I quote "he is the most likely to join as a fee has been agreed and there are ongoing negotiations taking place" Not saying he wont , but it still early days.
