dont know if its been posted already on here, but today in Redfearns he did say that had Cooper been appointed manager then NE would have been the assistant, from what he intimated it was just about sorted out, its a shame it never came off, now we have this joker with all his smart talk and 'player assessment' that so far has got us into the bottom four. NE spoke well for the short time he was on, and he at least showed some passion for a club he still obviously loves. do the right thing soon please Mr Cryne...
It's the players they have to convince these days not the fans or officials .love mourinho or not what the players at Chelsea did was sabotage IMO. It's cheating the fans, if they have a dispute they should leave it behind the white line put a transfer request in or summat. Player power is gonna kill the game imo
What you say is broadly correct, but do you think that's what they're doing at Oakwell? Or they're just baffled by the inexplicable tactics?
We're playing 4-4-2 mate and have been doing so for a number of games. I don't know why that should baffle them. Maybe they're just not very good?
I think the players are better than the results suggest, maybe it is the manager that's not very good.
You're not alone, it's the majority view. And it doesn't appear to make any difference how many times they prove you wrong.
You may be right, I don't know. The thing that I can't get my head around is that when people give match reports they say we're ****. But they then say we've got good players who should be further up the league. The two don't tally for me. I've no problem with the match reports, more often than not we are ****. I just don't understand how from that we interpret we've got a good squad of players. For me, it's blindingly obvious that we haven't. Some may say that it's the manager's fault we've got a poor squad and while I don't entirely agree, I can understand the point of view. What I'm afraid of is that we sack Johnson believing we should be higher up the table, spend our available money on that change, but end up getting relegated anyway because it turns out the players weren't good enough all along. I believe our primary problem is the players just aren't good enough.
As I mentioned in another post, I do have to piece things together. As far as I was aware we were playing 4-5-1 for a lot of the long string of defeats, with various players seemingly either out of position or lost and ending up drifting between positions. I was more referring to that than the more recent games where we've switched to 4-4-2 and have looked a bit better. I've seen three full matches this season, the last of which was Everton. Even if it feels like a long time ago now, it goes without saying that the players that night looked clearly good enough for League 1.
