Knew him in passing a few year back, nice kid although I didn't think he had a long-term future in football. Happy for him.

He once scored a Hat-Trick for Barnsley ...believe it or not.

Who were you confusing him with?! The crappest hat-trick scorers I can remember for us are Iain Chandler, Gareth Williams and the second incarnation of Ian Banks!

    I thought I remembered him

Scoring a Hat-trick of penalties in a Youth Cup game but it was two in the last minute of normal time and then one in the shoot out.

I'm still having fun with "Meanwhile in Russia" by the way.

Re: I thought I remembered him

Just a normal day here in comedy central. Got caught on a very busy crossroads this morning where the engineers just decided to open the switch box and start fiddling around with it without warning in the middle of rush hour. The lights suddenly just cut out, chaos ensued. Luckily I am still alive.

A bit of a long shot this but have you

Ever heard of someone called Andrey Ermilov. He's from St Petersburg and buys English football badges of Ebay for silly money. He bid of £400 for a Barnsley related badge and spent over a grand on a FA pre war badge recently. I'm not sure where he's got his money from but I think he's something to do with the ownership of St Petersburg and other things according to the net.

I've contacted him a few times and he's always friendly and courteous.

Do you know anything about him??

Just done a quick search, is there any chance he used to be the deputy head of security at a huge mobile phone retailer?

I saw that as well and think it must be him.... Do you think I should mention the club is for sale. Barnsley St Petersburg I can see it now.

The company concerned, Euroset, is seriously dubious! The original owner is now living in exile in London with an arrest warrant hanging over him (fell out with Putin I think) and it is alleged that the security services murdered his mother. One of my clients used to work for them in a pretty high position, will see what she knows! Get those rubles laundered Don!

He's working his way through the ranks and its only a matter of time before he's playing in the championship imo. Obviously he's improved vastly on what he was like when hr was here but you've to remember he was only a young lad. Saw him play for Shrewsbury a couple of seasons ago against Rotherham, bossed the midfield and set a couple of goals up, was very impressed with him.
