He looks very much the cavalry officer who would lead his men into a charge on a group of workers gathering for a meeting.

At least UKIP are prepared to tackle the issues the mainstream parties are failing on.

To be fair.Mario didn't say it was good or not..he said they were prepared to tackle the issue of Europe that all the other parties wish to ignore...Cameron is frightened stiff of the subject and just keeps suggesting referendums in an attempt to keep people sweet.

They cannot stop migration within the EC without pulling out of the EC itself. Do that and we lose a lot more than migration of Europeans.
Immigration from outside if the EC is stagnant.
The Euro scepitcs are just bullshitters.

You're suggesting the issue is purely migration...the bigger issue is the billions we have ploughed in and are expected to keep ploughing in .The EU is the most corrupt institution of modern times...no accountancy firm will sign off the accounts
because they are fully aware the figures do not add up.

I didn't comment on how good they were, but they are talking about the issues that matter to a lot of people and you should read their manifesto if you think they only have one policy - you will be surprised.

No, they used to be a resting place for the disillusioned right from the Tory party but they are now taking voters from all other parts of the political spectrum. The other parties should listen and take note.

Anyone considering voting UKIP who aren't part of the disillusioned right need to remember that they are a very right wing party. They can only stop immigration if they leave Europe, both of which are completely contrary to the rest of their free market, pro business views. And beyond that single policy, that does have appeal to some across the political divide they remain firmly right wing hardliners who don't give a toss about places like Barnsley, workers rights and pay, or the NHS.

mario's right about ukip taking votes from all over the political spectrum, and the main parties are well aware of this,as are the press. This is one of the reasons they were being attacked and labled racist.its just an effort to keep voters away from them.
When the bnp started to gather a bit of momententum its was on every news programme ,political programme and in every paper, the establishment were crappin' themselves, they do not want anybody upsetting their applecart.
The bnp got the amount of votes they did in the euro elections mainly because of working class voter being that pi55ed off with the major parties they felt they had no other option if they were to use their vote.I dont think for a minute that the majority who voted bnp during this period were nazis/racists.
Ukip seem to be the party who are taking these votes now, along with picking votes up from dissilusioned right wingers who previously voted tory.

however, given the way the political system has been manipulated over decades to suit the main two parties I cant see ukip ever having the chance to upset the powers that be.

I'm not normally a violent person but he has a face you'd never tire of punching for some reason. I view that isn't changed by hearing him speak. Horrible man

I think we should purposefully refer to him as Nigel Farage, pronounced in the way we would say 'garage'. He wouldn't like that.
