Impressed or unimpressed with him last night? Surprised he missed his one on one. Disapointed he didn't acknowledge the fan support when named before kick off or when he got subbed off. Some of his touches were very good. Got plenty of pace, quick at turning a man and did a few nice little flicks and backheels :)

Caused problems for the two centre halfs because they were flicking Davies off them, once he's match fit he will cause some problems for defences. Would be good on a season long loan, probably won't see the best of him on a short loan.

He needs more games but from what I've seen so far I'm reasonably happy with him. Like Gordon O says we will get more out of him if we can extend his loan period.

He hasm't been great yet, but shows plenty of potential. Thought he was ok last night and against Posh. Good option to have though.

I was impressed with him last night. Got strength, held off defenders well, scrapped for the ball and showed great tenacity to win the ball for his chance....dreadful finish though on that 1 on 1, but overall he looks decent.

Good control - won everything in the air last night and flicked on well for Davies - just seemed to want to hold on to the ball a little too long sometimes, and ended up being dispossesed - and should have scored his chance, but the lad hasn't played much so some leeway needs to be allowed

Overall looks promising - perhaps will never score bucketfuls of goals but definately a handful for defenders and offers something for the team.

The thing that struck me was that he didn't seem able to act quickly upon receiving the ball. He always seemed to want/need a second or two to consider his options after bringing it under control and I felt there were a couple of occasions when he missed opportunities to lay it off quickly.

Having said that he looked quick and strong and can't be fully fit or at full sharpness yet. I don't read anything into the sitter he missed - when Davies came back into the team he missed a couple of sitters while regaining his sharpness and then went on to score 6 in 6.

Give him another 5 or 6 games and we'll get a much better picture of what he can do.

I'd say he's a more mobile and talented Frank Nouble. Big potential, good strength and pace, but AGAIN, just doesn't look like a goalscorer. I'd say he's typical of many young forwards nowadays - physically great, fast, athletic, but not great WITH the ball or natural goalscorer.

    Held the ball up well

Albeit, thought he wasn't particularly brilliant last night. Should have done better with the 1 on 1, thought his movement off the ball wasn't particularly good, but he's probably just a bit rusty after spending most of the last couple of years in the reserves.

Think Davies got into the game more when Haynes came on.

Davies/Ranger partnership didn`t do it for me last night.

I thought he struggled to turn his man although there were two or three on him when he got ball on the other hand Davies turns and shoots when possible. Ranger may be a decent player but wanted too long on the ball which don't suit our pass and move style of play.

What you have to bear in mind is that ha ain't played many games this season unfortunately some of you don't take this into consideration,I,d sign him tomorrow without seeing him play another game cos he's quality.

Why because he's come from a premier league club? Sorry he's no better than what we have.

Whist I appreciate he requires to gain his sharpness, to move a striker out wide who had scored 6 in 6 and play Ranger as the main striker is debatable.

Ranger. needs at least 2 or 3 touches and still loses control. didn't work the flanks once. missed a sitter without even hitting the target. Like i said before only seen him once. does he deserve a place before gray or haynes. no
