    Just been out of my shop and bought MARCA.
    Spanish sports dedicated newspaper. I think its the first time Barnsley have been mentioned in there!!!!!!

    It says Simon Davey was due in Tenerife today to have talks with NINOS representatives. It says in the paper the bid is reported at 1.4 million Euros so that would be approx 1.25 million GBP.

    Not gossiping here just passing on the news in the local press in Tenerife

    I've done a search for 'Nino' on the site and none of the recent stories that came up are about him going anywhere.

    Think it's safe to say the rumour is utter codswallop and this is what really happened

    Someone read Davey has gone to Spain (possibly the only fact)
    Aforementioned thinks of the only place they can think of that's "in Spain" ( actually off the coast of Africa, but that's just Geography).... yes TENERIFE
    Quick, find somone who plays as striker for a team there .. ah yes "NINO"
    Post rumour
    Somone else adds credibility to rumour by posting more crap.
    Meanwhile, S Davey back in Preston with wife and kids, having watched half a match of Salou U18 B team reserves Vs Costa Blanca Club 18-30 Tourists XI
    followed by a round of golf on a nice course just on the outskirts of Barcelona.
    P Cryne tring to tie up a deal for S Howard so he can sneak him in at No 10, and save on numbering up shirts.
