Me and my dad still go up to the showground in Penistone and have a knock when the weather's fine. We both still have our nipsy tackle and nipsies.

We used to play in the Barnsley league years ago, first for the Sturdy Lads at Monk Bretton and then for the Rose and Crown (Pig & Whistle) at Worsbrough with Terry Hodson and the rest of the guys.

We'd all meet up at 10.00 at the Common Field. If the weather was bad then we'd go down to the White Bear instead.

    Great Times!

    So that's where the saying

"You've got a face like a bag of nipsies" comes from!?

Have a drink with Ken Eastwood (New Lodge club.)
Played golf with Tommy Chambers (Limes)
Crown green bowls with Joe Doyle (Locke park)
Chewed the Fat with Tony Glover ( Neighbour)
Does this make an honorary something or other?
