I have to be careful what I say...

But I can't say any benefit to us of this. Would we really get a fee? It wouldn't be worth it for under £100k in my opinion and would they pay that when he's out of contract in the summer? It seems very VERY strange to me.

If he's out of contract within 6 months...

I'm not sure we have a choice. If he doesn't want to sign a new contract, we can either risk losing him for nothing, or get whatever fee we can. He would be a massive loss though.

Nix is definitely a winger, btw.

I can't see us getting much for him, unless they offer silly money tell them to fook off.

    Are

    wages an issue

    Is Burns on big money?

    We may get a fee.

Has richtea lined up a replacement?

Is burns disrupting the dressing room?

    Is he injured?

Too many if's & buts for us to speculate.

    One If though

If he goes without a replacement there will be uproar.

    RE: Are

    1) I seriously doubt wages are an issue, he's been here ages.
    2) The fee would surely be negligible?
    3) A replacement would only be on loan - someone better than Burns? I doubt it.
    4) Can't see him disrupting the dressing room, he's a nice lad.
    5) If he's injured why would they have him on trial all week?

I am just saying that if he goes then there will be sound reason

any fee would though be proportional to how much they wanted him this season and how easily we are prepared to let him go.

I also think you overplay his value to us if you seriously suggest we cannot get a better midfielder than burns.

Horlock would have done quite nicely IMHO.

I'm talking about NOW Daz, for the rest of the season. We can't buy anyone, so it'd have to be a loan... someone better than Burns is unlikely. If it's a young Prem player, they might be good but Burns knows the way we play, links up well with McPhail etc. If you combine those things with his ability, then yes I believe we'd struggle to get someone in NOW as effective as Burns.

No becasue he is a left winger

If we were to replace Burns, we would need a defensive midfielder with bags of energy and a high work rate (like Burns).
