Plenty of comment necessary - Simon Davey is the best manager Barnsley has had in living memory We were knocking on the door of the top 6 only a couple of months ago So surely anybody with a bit of sence has got to ask themselves 'what has happened since then'? The problem we have on here is that there aint that many people with much common sense Many on here just look at the results - win, lose or draw..........from this they make an opinion without looking at the bigger picture But we still have players at the club this season that we couldn't have even dreamt about this time last season And we have to thank Davey for identifying those players and the board of directors for backing the manager The directors have given financial support to the manager so they must have a lot of faith in him When he was first appointed i didn't want him I thought the directors had gone for the cheap option - I was wrong. In my opinion Simon Davey is the best manager Barnsley has had since the dark days of the old 4th Division.
Oh but Paul stats can be made to say anything And you can 'throw some old stats at me' but it doesn't mean anything

I dont know.... they seem to keep trying get worse & worse away from home, i dont know why anyone would spend hard earned money watching BFC away at the moment.
The stats you are using are too small a sample to be significant. We have played more than 8 game you dummy. Why not pick one losing game and you could say he's lost 100% of his games. Some of the ming mongs on here would orgasm at that.

don't be ridiculous fella The stats there shows "recent form" - it would be fair to say the last 8 games are a fair enough representation of "recent form". The table shows that recently we have been very unsuccessful and something needs to be done to address this and rectify the problems. Its vastly unfair to call this guy "a dummy" as all he is doing is pointing to the fact that we are not picking up points at the moment.

but he wasn't trying to use a small sample to represent our season. he was using a small sample to show recent form - pretty useful surely, as it shows that if we continue in the current vein of form we will go down.
a sample size of 8 out of 30 is quite large.......... not many opinion polls sample more than 26% of the population-and anyway I was referring to a trend

Two points 1) I wasn't replying to you 2) The quotation marks I used, yes that's QUOTATION marks, were referring to comments that Simon made when I pointed out our awful run to him after the game at Bramall Lane and asked him what he was going to do about it. So, the summation of that is your post was wrong, falsch, incorrect.
