Connell injured, Phillips personal reasons. I assume the personal reasons are that his missus has just had a baby. I'm looking forward to seeing us play without them as odd as that sounds. Might be a refreshing change. Who knows?

Phillips is usually a passenger anyway.

Issue with that is, both Russell and Nwakali are crap defensively when whoevers in that deeper role. Nwakali makes some tremendous passes though, especially longer range, so I hope its him deeper as I think Russell is much more effective further forward and cant pass anywhere nearly as nicely as Nwakali.

He’s responsible for about a quarter of the team’s goals though. So there is that.

Hes going to be yet another player who we fawn over when he eventually moves to a better club. Crazy

7 goals 4 assists - the whole team are passengers but at least he actually contributes

I think one of Earl and Pines are lucky to start based on recent outings. McCarthy was a fixture in that four game winning run too.

I fawn over him already. Well, anyone who plays well for us consistently.

DKD and MDG are my fawning targets today.

Hes been shocking in his latest couple of appearances though, hes cost us points lately. Saying that, the whole defence has been rocky, but still I think id stick with this today mate.

Yeah, I should have worded it better mate. I meant a lot of fans will eventually realise how good he is when he moves away. Our fans love slating players and then soon realise how good they are once they leave!

Are you thinking of the Wycombe error? The one on halfway that was then awfully defended by Earl and Pines? Donny, who gave a penalty away in that game, and cost us in the last game. Earl who gave a penalty away last weekend.

As you say, they’re all capable. It’s why I like Maël. He’s not perfect but he’s less error prone than the rest.

I just feel Conor gets less leeway and thus, less opportunities.

Oh there’ll be plenty of that. Always the case I suppose.

I appreciate he isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, but I like productive midfielders and there hasn’t been one better for us in many a year.

I see nothing but a hammering and Clarke being sacked (which would be harsh )

I had a feeling we were gunna win today for absolutely no reason other than football is weird and we were due something go our way but then this lineup does not fill you with confidence
