Why are people still saying this on every Facebook/Twitter thread talking Politics when this continued shīt show is still going on?

The right-wing media must be getting concerned about the prospect of their beloved Tory party imploding and letting the "not credible" opposition into power when they are putting out editorials titled " DAILY MAIL COMMENT: If voters think it's one rule for them and another for Boris Johnson, that's the fastest route to the calamity of Keir Starmer in Downing Street"

The Labour party is still has the stink on it the media created against Corbyn, but I feel Starmer is making the party look more and more credible with every scandal and ****-up the Tories manage to bumble up.

The Tories always implode. It happens to most parties when they've outstayed their welcome.

Because the media and conservative central office are telling us that.

To be fair, its repeated ad nauseum by a considerable faction of Labour voters too.

All too sadly Starmer is not making Labour look more credible. He should be making mince meat of Bojo at the dispatch box but all too sadly he’s not. Labour ought to be streets ahead by now but the Tories retained their seat at the last by election with a reduced but still comfortable majority.

it blows my mind. the last GE gave them unassailable power to do whatever the fk they want, and boy don't they know it. it seems like they're untouchable, and it's seriously depressing.

Maybe because there’s enough Tory rebels to take this new bull shït legislation down - but that fanny Starmer has already said they’ll support it.

The Tories will just increase the level of wage before you're taxed before the 2024 election. They've done this the last twice. It's why they're getting in. They're attractive to people on low paid jobs.

Tbh starmer agrees with most of the things the government does because he'd do the same given the opportunity .

I think some of it is because people who oppose these restrictions see the opposition are going to vote them through while part of the tory party vote agaisnt them.
Labour previously blocked a half decent Brexit deal that lead to a election and this shambles. Now (rightly or wrongly) they are seen as voting along with the government.

Can't think that anyone on here this morning decrying Starmer can have watched PMQ's yesterday. He absolutely filleted Boco. The line about the Queen even silenced the nodding dogs behind Boco.

I think some folk on here think he should jump across the Despatch Box and knee Johnson in the knackers!

Where was he when the recent NHS health bill passed which will lead to more privatisation ? He never muttered a word about it . Not even a tweet or anything because he agrees with the Tories more often than not .

Indeed! Though the more cunning plan might be for him to suggest to Angela that she does it! :D

I hear this line plenty. Started by the tory spin doctors. Picked up and run with by many Labour voters.

Just about anything is better than what we have now. Anything Labour, Lib Dems, SNP or Greens could put forward would be better than this cabal.

A government will undoubtedly do things that upset certain sections of people at some stage. It can't be all things. But could Labour run an administration that was less corrupt, more consistent with messaging, didn't bully its people or suppress injustices and unfairness? Of course it could.

Its just another of those soft pieces of messaging that try to undermine any form of alternative government to the tories while also being something parotted as an excuse for the "shy tories".
