Lack of goals has been huge problem this season especially from open play... Without Connor in the side we have failed to score a single goal. Where are Connors haters now!?

IMHO we need to go back to basics. When LJ joined last year that is exactly what he did. Got us organised, played 4-4-2, short simple high tempo passing game, he brought in an experienced forward and journeyman on loan (Ibhere) to partner Winnall (who has pace and movement). We had lots of experience in the dressing room with the likes of Ramage. We defended stoutly at the back, had a good engine in midfield and good hold up play and movement in final third.
To accomodate Scowen in the side he was played in wide midfield role. It suited him well, pace, energy, delivery and even chipped in with a few goals.

This season. We have no consistency in our performance. Its often hard to work out what formation we are playing, and players often look confused by shape and system. We are naieve, and our inexperience is clear to see. And Although Youth loanees have added flair they have failed to add goals.

I do think its good to build a young squad, but the blend and balance needs to be right ie youth and experience. At present we have a huge inbalance. IMHO we need an experienced midfielder and forward.

Don't think anyone hated him. Folk had issues with his work rate last season but in games ive witnessed this season his work rate has improved significantly apart from Chesterfield Away.

We are certainly missing the quality of his dead ball deliveries.

Yeah his haters who were saying anyone can set up a goal and score a penalty are nowhere to be seen........

Hopefully the good that comes from it is when he returns he's appreciated more for what he brings to the team.

10 assists between Watkins and Hourihane. And what, 7 goals on all competitions between them. We're clearly missing both of them, with Hourihane's ability with a dead ball and Watkins' power and pace.

Who are the Connor haters? I honestly can't recall anyone giving him dogs abuse. I can recall people suggesting that he goes missing at times, which is true (IMO), but that's completely different to hating him or not wanting him in the team.

I once named him 2nd in a 'player of' vote and was accused of being a 'hater'.
