we still need new faces, not only to strengthen, but also to give the fans some hope. Two or three new faces of decent standard too, and I do not include GOG in the two or three either. I mean as well as him.

we need to retain our nucleus, plus four quality additions, IMO. for every one of our nucleus we don't retain, we need an extra signing. we were at bare bones at times last season. with the intensity of the Champ, you have to assume it will happen again. we need depth. depth is good. and girth

The biggest problem we have is the under offer list as four massive names missing from it, David Perkins, Stephen Dawson, Kelvin Etuhu, Jacob Mellis,

January to May 2014, as the potential to be worse then, January to May 2012. and it could cost David Flitcroft his job.

Re: but they are still in contract

For 12 months, come January they will be offered new contracts anyone who turns them down will be cashed in on, (our past record proves it), our past record also proves we do not pay transfer fees, and in January we don't have many free agents to choose from so we'll be left with loan signing that rarely work out, or a depleted squad. we need to be offering these 4 new deals now if they turn them down replace them wile we can because they'll not be replaced in January that's for sure.

I think he means because they only have a year left and we should learn from the Vaz Te scenario last year.

I see, and have to agree with that

but I think Mr Flitcroft will have his finger on the pulse somehow.

Vaz Te, Butterfield, & Drinkwater, we lost all 3 in one month and the way we're going at it this year it could be 4, you can't keep going at it like this, sooner or later we'll pay the price and that price his 6 million, peoples jobs & league one football, its a heffty price to pay for something that could be sorted now

    Drinkwater wasn't even our player.
Butterfield had his season ended early by injury.
Vaz Te had his head turned by bright lights big city and a hefty pay rise.

Cheer up. I'm sure we start next season in the championship.

Re: but they are still in contract

They left and where never replaced, due to the fact we don't pay transfer fees, it's going to happen all over again, but this time we could get 3 replacements in now and learn from our mistakes but it'll not happen, sooner or later it will cost us
