Has the penny finally dropped that most of them simply aren't up to the level required to play in the CCC?!

Some exceptions in Colace, Muller and Bogdanovic but the rest have been pretty poor.

Oh right - that's absolute genius

Has anyone spotted that there's quite a few really good footballers from outside these shores?

I never said that did I?

I just meant that the players he's picked up from Foreign lands haven't been good enough.

From Everton and Southend who are used to the English game and are up to speed.

I'm on about the likes of El Haimour and Mossto etc.

JCR was born in London of Jamaican parents. I know London is a long way from Barnsley but he is not foreign!

Coule say the same about Darren Moore who was born in Birmingham but comes from a Jamaican background.

Sorry I'll go back to bed!

The point I was trying to make is that there is no inherent problem with buying foreign players provided they are good enough. The problem with some of the foreign players we have bought in the past has been their football ability, not their "foreignness".

A very fair point! It's an ability thing not a country of origin issue!

    I agree to some extent

but we've also signed British players who haven't been good enough. I think the reality lies in the fact that when you aren't spending much money on players they will always be a gamble. Some will pay of and some won't. To be fair players like Muller, Colace, Sousa, Ferenczi, Bogdanovic have all made important contributions and for players of their quality would have cost much more if British/already based in Britain.

The key to me is having the basis of a squad already and pooling resources to buy fewer better/more expensive players. Hopefully that will happen this season, and if they are good enough it doesn't really matter where they come from

Some foreign players he picked were definitely good enough

Muller Anderson Colace for sure - Doesnt JCR count as foreign?

Having said that I think a broadly british team with a few foreign players is a much better idea than a mixture of lots of different nationalities like he tried before

If he does, does that mean that Wales is "Foreign" too!

If so, does that mean we have a foreign Manager like Arsenal and Chelsea?
