I've been to one match all season Tom. And that's after 26 years unbroken of having a season ticket. That's how much he put me off last season.
Same here 1974 onwards. I just couldn't take it anymore. I went to the palace game and realised that i didn't miss it. It makes me sad though.
Likewise. I miss it in some ways - I miss going with my Dad and it was a really good bunch that we used to sit with, some people that I'd consider proper mates from going to the match with. I certainly don't miss Keith Hill and his ludicrous, puerile interviews driving home over the Pennines on my own in the dark late at night after another defeat watching his dour, dire football.
He could try out his bizarre metaphors on you and you could advise what works and what doesn't. The miles will roll by.
