No Panic... Best defence for 21 years

Lets get rid of the doom and gloom by looking at the silver lining. Last years defence was the best since 84/85 season, so lets give em a chance in the championship, they deserve it.

Never really realised how **** our defence was when we were relegated the other year.

We actually conceded more goals than we did in the Premiership (albeit more games played). Even though we did score a reasonable amount.

What were we playing at?

 

Reason for optimism number 2...

The last Barnsley team to play in the championship had one local lad, Chris Morgan. The current team is full of local pride willing to die for the cause. They won't surrender like the money grabbers of 01/02.

Plus there is no Mike Sheron!!!!
