    Concessions more like...

They don't want you to take your own food in.

I can't see how a "no rucksacks" policy prevents terrorism.

This happens all over London. Harrods make you take your rucksack off before entering store.

Its barmy. How can they expect people to go on a day out without some kind of bag? What about handbags or man bags ( :D ) Do they not count cos at the end of the day its still a bag.

To me it makes perfect sense

All recent bombings and attempted bombings in London have been carried out by people wearing rucksacks. You need the rucksack to carry the bulky bomb. If you stop people entering with rucksacks then you stop them being able to hide such a bulky device.

Yeah, I didn't really answer your question

    Hi Jay,

You're right of course, but what about outside the ground or in the surrounding area? What about the people we travel down on the official coaches with?

Isn't there the danger of thinking that if someone doesn't have a rucksack, then they have no other means of committing a terrorist act?

Are they going to ban rucksacks everywhere?

an anecdote re bags and bombs and searches in London

we went down there 2 or 3 years ago-our eldest daughter is a wheelchair user-she has a large bag on the back of the chair-we had prebooked a trip on the Eye and so got straight to the front of the queue-searched everyone's bag except the one on the chair-I said-don't you want to look inside it-no your alright was the answer! motto-if you want to be a suicide bomber use a wheelchair:)
