hope its just late/slow, if not and there is no report today then its a disgrace.I know its a friendly but its still a FIRST TEAM game.As such it should be there.
how can it be a first team game when they played last night? Macken, Foster, Steele and how many others played last night? (clown)
RE: well its listed on the main site as 1st team pre seaon game..is that difficult for you nt What happened last night then? Did I just imagine that? an't see !st team playing again pal thats all
well its like this they are allplaying and being subbed at half time in the main..so in effect over the two games they play just 90 mins max. Davey himself has said this in not so many words
Fair play then... i've just text Eaststand Lower, I was supposed to be going with him but i'm skint, asked him to let me know who's playing
From official site EVERYBODY WILL PLAY - RYAN Posted on: Fri 11 Jul 2008 BARNSLEY Assistant Manager Ryan Kidd will lead the Reds into action against Buxton and Glossop this weekend without five first team players. Martin Devaney, Istvan Ferenczi, Darren Moore, Jamal Campbell-Ryce and Kayode Odejayi will all miss out against the non-league sides. Ryan told www.barnsleyfc.co.uk: "Martin has a slight thigh problem and will rest this weekend; Istvan has a calf injury and Darren has not gone into full training yet. "Jamal and Kayode have only just started back with us after their international trips this summer and it would not be right to throw them straight into action this weekend. They need to do some more work on the training field. "We will have Jamil Adam, Luke Potter, Rob Atkinson and Jacob Butterfield in a squad of 19 players for both games and everybody will play against Buxton and Glossop at some point".
RE: Fair play then... I wasn't being nasty mate... before I mean. Davey gets to "tinker" in these games...if its reyt that they are indeed losing 2-0, thats not such a bad thing daft as it sounds....it can show the weaknesses and hopefully can be sorted before we go to QPR .
ok pal, no worries.... I don't worry about pre season games anyway, they're primarily about fitness levels at this stage and the lateer games will be more about tactics (Y)
precisely...that and maybe looking over the young uns the pre seasons against Yeovil Rotherham and Wigan will be more of a telltale I think.
