Hope so. Really rate him. To have that level of quality to start with or bring on from the bench is great. Hes the type of player that in the last 2 or 3 seasons we would have gave our left knacker to have at the club. Part of our success this season is the strength of our squad, not just our team. We have players on the bench that can change things for the better if needed. Good news if correct

    Confused here about Armstrong.
Apart from his undoubted pace, what has he actually done?
Scores goals galore when on England duty but he's not really scored enough for us to warrant such high praise.
When he plays upfront with Winnall, the partnership is not the best.
Just my opinion, I know there will be many who disagree.

I think Armstrong is a good young player. I don't think he fits into the system we play and I don't think we play to his strengths. A decent option off the bench though

I think the same - bit surprised Newcastle didnt want him to go somewhere else to be honest. More than happy to have him in the squad and he gives us something different on the bench, but when everyone is fit he wouldn't be starting for me.

I think he's a little raw but an obvious talent. I'd rather have him in our 18 than in our opponents mind.

That's probably how he got to be on the bench. I had wondered, given that there was no sign of Morsy.

Only wish we had enough money to buy him.
If we could get him for 2m he should be worth at least 5 to 10m in a couple of years time.
    A top prospect

Pacey. Excellent shot on him. Very quick change of direction. Stocky and strong for his size. Nightmare for defenders when he's running at them or trying to pin him down. Made a few of them look like fools already for us this year (e.g. at Preston)

I just don't think he's been used in the right way. i.e. give him some games with Watkins upfront, then I'm sure we'd see what he has. (But can't even think about dropping SSW at the moment!) Looking really exciting when he comes on. What a player to have in our squad, and shows the strength in depth we have if he can't get a game.

Perhaps his height is holding him back as look how many headed goals SSW has scored for us recently - headed goals are obviously something we look to create. And perhaps he needs to develop that goal-scoring instinct in the box like Sam and Bradders. But well worth keeping.

Based on only glimpses of his quality that we have seen there is a decent chance he could have a storming second half of the season for us which if he does anything could happen as far as our league position is concerned.
