Forest fan in peace tha noz. From the man himself, Southampton been approached by Barnsley about a possible move for Dave to Oakwell, he hasn't spoken to anyone yet but thinks the move will go ahead, you have competition from a couple other sides in the CCC but Barnsley are the only side who are ready to table a bid before the window closes!!!

Always take these rumours with a pinch of Siberia....but I'd love this one to be true...twice the player than Mifsud.

    ooooTommyGaynor

Wheres the substance behind this rumour,
Would the saints really let their star striker leave to a relegation rival, or is the threat of administration close and they are having a fire sale, Rudi Skacel could be leaving soon aswell.

Its come from david himself today, he's a good friend of mine, I think Ipswich are also interested but Barnsley would be his prefered choice as he wants to live back in Nottingham. Southampton are in a lot of trouble financially and can't really turn money down for players. This is not a dead cert yet, he told me that Barnsley are currently speaking to his club and a deal will be done if they meet Southamptons asking price.

Thanks for that tip off Tommy. He could be one of the players we need, his scoring stats this year look quite good, Our managers record at to bringing in a goalscorer on the cheap has been abysmal so far, so now we have to get the chequebook out. Any idea on a fee?

I admire your optimism even if it is mis-placed.
