Apparently Ritchie has said that saturday's game was the first time since he became manager that he's actually tore into his team at half time & had a right go at them . Kinell, make no wonder we keep getting repeated crap performances.
I think they got a bit of a telling off at full-time too! Shouting and throwing teacups - ie being a miserable sod - isn't guaranteed to make people perform - take Souness for example.
RE: No, take Hart for example!! There needs to be a bit of both. Andy's still a young manager, so therefore will still be learning such things and developing his own methods. The fact they all seem to get on with him may mean that when he does dish out some criticism, that they take it the right way and accept it, rather than just feeling unwanted and dejected which some managerial styles could do. I don't believe that it's the first time he's been angry with the players, it certainly isn't from what I've been told after games before.
what worrys me is when we play well in a first half we seem to come out worse in the second, wonder what he says to them
How you tell them isn't all that important, it's what you tell them that counts. Up to now neither the soft approach or the hard approach seems to have had any effect. Which can only mean that the content isn't right.
whatever he's doing its still a damn sight better than parkin, hart, hodges, gudjon did league position and in draw for 4th round of cup. still have gripes but we're doing well
RE: whatever he's doing We were in the same position at this point in the season when Gudjon ws in charge, then didn't end up winning a game for 2 months. What's chances of history repeating itself?
Put it this way If we don't win a game for the next two months I will be the first to start a Ritchie Out campaign. But one thing's for sure, it will never come to that.
