    Basic rules of striker

Dont narrow your angle and shoot across the keeper. You can be as raw a talent as you like, but if you havent got the basics you ain going to make it.

To be fair to him though...

... nope - can't think of anything! Sadly any goodwill from the Chelsea goal will have evaporated. I do feel sorry for him though as that will haunt him for the rest of his life!!

Can you imagne how the players feel?

Not getting all the way because he has failed to score from a chance any other lad on the park would have scored.

I wouldnt be able to look him in the eye.

You're right. Plus you watch this board over the coming hours as folks trickle back... he's let a Town down as well & there's some right old vitriole on the way. Really doubt he will play for us again.

    Looking at Kayode's face and

how forlorn he looked at the end of the match, I doubt they could be anymore disappointed than he is.

I feel sorry for him and although bitterly disappointed that MY TEAM lost, I thank them all for getting there and trying their best.

BBC - He cuts a solitary, isolated figure on the pitch at Wembley

1754: Terrible, terrible times for Barnsley's Kayode Odejayi. He cuts a solitary, isolated figure on the pitch at Wembley as he contemplates what might've been. Unfortunately for him what might've been was the best chance of the match that he drilled into the side netting.

It is a case of a thousand yard stare and I just hope he is able to pick himself up from this disappointment.

RE: Looking at Kayode's face and

That post is a far too educated look at it Laura. Stop it! We've just lost, and I want to grieve and blame someone!

    So do I.

I also hope that the team as a whole can pick themselves up and concentrate on the battle for survival in the league.

The sad thing is he won every header that came his way and Davey rightly took off Ferenczi who wasn't seeing too much of the ball. Odejayi challenged for everything he could and generally came out on top, then when the ball goes through to his feet he runs on to it pulls the keeper accross his goal and tries to beat him at the near post after making Enkelman give him 3/4 of the goal to aim at!!!! To be fair other people have said it on this board but with that kind of aerial dominance and that kind of finishing the bloke should be a centre back.

I'll not wait for getting back

I wouldn't let him in the dressing room. I. Wouldn't even let him back into oakwell. Davey needs to admit he was wrong and not play him again. We should all have a personal apology. I feel sorry for jcr and howard.

That miss killed the game, you could see from then on

Heads dropped a little. more mistakes were made so really it was more than just missing a golden chance it kicked everyone else on the field in the teeth as well.

I think your right there Jax. From that point on We lost the belief that we had that give someone the chance and we'll be level, Ode got the chance and cocked it up, heads dropped and where we had been on top we were suddenly on the back foot for a spell, we did pull it around but not to the extent that we were dominating before that.

Heads did go down after K.O. missed but

I'm still proud of MY TEAM and think they played well. They could have switched off completely and let Cardiff run riot and they didn't.

I am signing off now as I don't want to argue over differing opinions.
