non barnsley fc related subjects

i thought when the site name is BARNSLEY FC.org.uk that the subjects would be about the club (intersting news etc) not about chuffin how nice the lightening looks in barnsley and questions about ladybower etc(not having a go at people inparticular just examples). Who gives a toss about these things???who wants to kno??NO1!!!

If it wasn't for this board and being able to post none football related items I wouldn't have made so many friends.

Plain and simple you're wrong

There is not enough goes on at the club in an average week to keep tongues wagging.
Thus if all we talked about was Barnsley FC, most weeks would go with no posts from one Saturday to the next.  The community here would fragment and entertain themselves elsewhere until inevitably the site would die off.

The fact that other things are discussed here, however off-topic, mundane or even banal they may be, they keep the community thriving when there's no news about BFC.

But because the community here perpetuates itself despite the lulls, when something does happen theres plenty around to offer their viewpoints.

 

This website is definitely not just for football. Of course, the football is the main reason that we are all gathered on here, but that doesn't mean to say that you can't talk about anything other than that.

Tell you what tho' if we did only talk about football then I dare say the site wouldn't be as popular as it is.

 

By the way - it was fantastic lightening that we had

Then 99% of us on here would be so bored!
