    Hi,
    My laptop wont turn on anymore i have had problems with the battery for ages, i have bought a new battery and that wont work either, i cant see it been the charger as i can feel it getting warm afer leaving it on for hours.

    The light on the front of the laptop just flases red when i press the on button which usually means the battery is low.

    Any ideas?

    Or anyone know a cheapish shop i can take it to for it checking?

    Try removing the battery and plugging your laptop in and turning it on. If it works on mains power you need a replacement battery - otherwise it could be something more serious.
