Just had a notification about a free upgrade to windows 10, it looks genuine ,is it worth upgrading ,are there any hidden fees ?

No fees, now or in the future, and the system is much better.

Also, they do not intend to produce a Windows 11, 12 13, etc., but will just upgrade 10.

Just allow an hour or two for the install, then the system settles into it's routines over the next couple of days, but no major problems.

You can revert back to your old system but that expires after a period of time. Can't remember what it is as not on computer at the min. Just a need to know if you don't get on with it.

not strictly true. free upgrade is only for a limited time. but agree, definitely upgrade. especially if you're on windows 8. upgrading to a mac would be even better though. obviously.

If it's the little symbol with 4 white squares on your task bar, it's genuine. Installed it myself, takes ages, but performance is much better. I can now turn on my system and start using it almost immediately. Before (Windows 7) I had to turn it on, then go and cut the grass or summat while it was booting up.

One of the nu fings it alous u to doo is voice input. Needz sum work though.

If you're upgrading from the disastrous Win8 then definitely go for it.

    Its completely free

Microsoft are giving it away for a year. The only downside is that you have to take all updates because you are effectively part of the software testing strategy for the corporate users who will get the updates later.
