No but I do get to use them.

I don't feels in control as I do using mouse and keyboard to input data and I have yet to figure out any advantages of touch screen.
Expensive device which you don't really need.

there not badly priced here in USA $800 or so.
the wife will be the main user she works from home in investments.

i personally dont see the advantage of a touch screen desktop but shes thinking it would help her as she has 8-9 browser windows open sometimes and she said it would be easier to move between them.

Seeing that your wife is involved you had better keep the peace get her what she wants.

But I don't think it would be ergonomically sound for her if she spends a great deal of time on the machine.

I have a HP touchsmart. Windows 7 and I like it. only problem I had with it was during the summer some midges kept landing on the screen and moving the cursor (one of the joys of living on the water, bloody midges), adjusted the settings and It is great now.

cheers guys, madmark have you thought about putting windows 8 on there or are you happy with 7. we can purchase 8 for $15 if we buy a machine.

but some of the touch facilty doesnt work on8 apparently if it was installed with 7.

To be honest mate, I am quite happy with 7, I am one of those people that sticks with what works, I only change system if the new machine comes with it, having said that I did change back from Vista to XP, but that was because Vista is ****!!;)
