    I'm just having a discussion with a friend about whether it is acceptable to wear a top that you can see a bra through for a night out. Thoughts?

    Depends on where you are going, who with, and the colour of the bra.

    Having said that, I think it should be obligatory to dress like that in a civilised country like Britain.

    Bowling originally (so may be a bit much), and then night out in Bradford, usual bars and clubs type deal. Blue top, black bra, with leggings. She was going to originally, but her boyfriend isn't too keen. It's her 31st birthday.

    Black and blue is fine, in my opinion. It's her birthday so she should decide, not sure how much say her boyfriend should have. He can decide what he wears when it's his birthday. Tell her to go for it and enjoy her birthday.

    Black top with white bra sounds horrendous!! White bras glow in the dark in clubs too - not a good look! Always avoid white underwear on a night out at all costs (if there's a chance the material may become even slightly transparent).

    Haha, I have actually found a pic of me wearing a see through top!! The front breast section is opaque though :p it's only the back and underbreastular* area that is see through.
