Ridiculous. These clubs earn naff all and yet the FA are demanding such actions within the space of five months. Feel sorry for the clubs that have have a sharp rise in fortunes over the last few years that don't have the facilities as they'll be hit hardest. Joke

I remember being shown round the old changing rooms at Oakwell when my mate, Harry Davis (son of Steve Davis) had his 7th birthday party there. The away room was basically a box room, and the person giving the tour said they used to crank the heat up in spring/summer for away teams, and turn the heating off in the winter - Sir Alex refused to use it and had United get changed on the team bus when they came here in 97/98.

My point being, I doubt our old changing rooms would've met the conditions given the above...

I’m working on a project at Shelley FC in Huddersfield. They play in Hallmark League one. Some of the rules cause so many problems. Like having a match programme. They don’t have the facilities or staff to do it.
They are currently fourth in the league. I was joking with their manager today ... to coin a well known phrase “they can’t afford to go up”
I have no idea how they are expected to comply with some of the rules.

I went to watch the first half of Frickleys game tonight .It looks like they got in there first , shiny new changing facility which stands out like a sore thumb against the rest of the ground . Some changing rooms must be 100 years old and need replacing but this threat is a bit drastic .

I was involved with A.F.C. Barnsley ( cue the boo's and recriminations)and some of the non league rules are stupid. we were told our pitch ( the reserve one at oakwell wasn't upto code with players enterances and such ) yet a few weeks earlier I had watched the England capt at the time alan shearer and temure ketsbaia play for Newcastle reserves ( returning from injury) play on the same pitch, but not good enough for burt stump who is a forklift driver and plays for raggedarsed rovers

I worked at frickley pit in the early 70's and we had a shilling (5p) a week stopped out of our wages for the upkeep of the club

Its the first time I've been to Frickley and really enjoyed it especially the pie , chips and gravy . Surprisingly the quality of football and professionalism at smaller clubs has really impressed me . I 've started attending quite a few non-league games as my daughters partner is a referee/linesman at that level . Tell you what you see the game from an all new perspective when you're there to support the ref . :D
