92 today........92 and still at the club, been at the club on some capacity for at least 300 years, the bloke is not only a Barnsley legend he's a football legend. People like Norman just don't happen everyday, in fact I can't think of another person who has done so much at a club over such a huge time period.

Why then at the age of 92 are the club still not at the very least in the process of honouring this man? Regardless of the on field situation this is something that should be recognised and recognised now, now whilst he is there to know just how much the people of Barnsley appreciate him and all he's done.

If we can name a gym after Stones can't we at least nane a stand in his honour? Regardless of sponsorship why can't it be the Norman Rimmington stand sponsored by ck Beckett?

Maybe something else? I know he's a very humble man but something needs to be done, couldn't the trust maybe suggest something to the club or are we just going sit back whilst a man devotes his entire life to the club for zero recognition .

If we were Man Utd he would be been knighted for services to football years ago, stinks really

It's been discussed every year on here for the last 15 I think. It was said a few times that Norman himself wanted no fuss or grand gesture, sounds about in keeping with the great man.

however I think the club and town should honour him and maybe will in time

I honestly don't think the club will, and on time? He's 92, why do people always wait until people have died before realising what they've done?

I know he doesn't want fuss but I don't care what anyone says he DESERVES even the smallest of recognition.

Didn't get a program yesterday, was Norman on the front? Wsb magazine? Picture of a puddle?

Happy Birthday to the great man, fantastic servant of our club........wonder what he thinks of our current demise....he must have seen worse.......in his time.....I remember the old 4th Div days but don't recall feeling as depressed by the whole situation as I do now.
