Their owners want to do a MK Dons by moving the club from the region and giving them a name change..... The FA cannot allow this to happen, but you know what they are like.
Don't know the full story here, but from my limited knowledge of the non league scene, for the "150 fans" it's their entire social life. So whilst numbers may be "insignificant" at first glance, you're talking about the impact on people's quality of life. Why does East Hull need a non league football team?
I’m with skryptic I’m afraid. They’re proposing moving ten miles. For various reasons. They have relatively few fans, the move might generate more but would benefit the club regardless from what I’ve read. Not exactly a Wimbledon situation. Let them go.
I live near the new area they want to move to. That ground has hosted numerous non league teams and none of them apart from one have been successful. That one, Hall Road Rangers once was in a league with Brid and Scarborough as well as Worsborough Bridge. They now play at a rugby ground and are ****. Jamie Waltham who sold them to the Chadwick's wanted to allow gypsies on to the ground a few months back before he ****** off for a dream job in India. The Chadwick brothers are builders and will want the land at Church Lane to build upon. Waltham will have some kind of agreement to make money on the move. He's already failed at opening a creche, three football teams, a restaurant and a wedding service venue.
Been to North Ferriby a few times and it’s a brilliant little club. It would be a disgrace if it was allowed for it to move to East Hull, it’s like moving Penistone Church to Darfield and saying it’s only 20 minutes away. Non-league clubs are the heart and soul of small places like North Ferriby and shouldn’t be removed from their home, it’s a community asset not some ********’s toy.
It's not a move though really. It's starting a new club and stealing the place in the league of the old one. Reading that article the club have made applications to change the name and move but not even issued a statement on the matter.
