Looks quite a smart ground. The country is far from perfect but there are many worse countries in the world to visit. Don't know where the world cup qualifier the other day between Syria and Afghanistan was played. Read last week that Kim is claiming Fifa officials are going there soon as he wants to host a future world cup. Government spending over the past ten years in their sports budget has increased dramatically and by another 7% in the last year. A world cup there would weirdly be an improvement on having one in Qatar.
I wouldn't put it past Fifa to have one there TBH. So you'd not fancy it....... http://www.regent-holidays.co.uk/co...w_ev_kgS2EFU0WpdVn5hFqVo_l9dxPzEUMaAgbj8P8HAQ Rather go there than Iraq, Syria, most of Africa, Iran, Saudi Arabia and plenty of other countries. Locals are treated like **** but they like to put on a front to the rest of the world so you don't tend to hear bad stories about westerners there.
Wouldn't go to any of the above and wouldn't want to go to a country that treats its own people like **** either mate .
Download " Pyongyang: A journey in north Korea" it shows how foreigners are treated there with government officials following you around and only being allowed to visit certain places at certain times. I'd take my chances in syria
You're right but they treat tourists very well because they want it to look like they give a **** about the people and its surroundings not just Pyongyang. I bet there's some really nice places in the country but because the supreme leader is a nut jack (and the ones before him) we will probably never see it properly
I've seen a few shows on the country over the years. Panorama did a good one, I think it was last year going under cover. Lots of odd stuff like few cars on the road because people can't afford them, city put into darkness on a night apart from the statues and cafes not having menus because they don't know from one day to the next what they will have available to sell. I think westerners are only allowed to stay in two particular hotels in the capital so as you say government officials can spy on you. All that said though you don't hear of bad stories to do with tourists. Wouldn't expect to be treated as well as when Dennis Rodman makes his regular visits though.
