Opening day of the season 8th August 2009 They went on to win the league by 9 points. It's a long long season, and we've dropped 3 points at the first hurdle. We're going to lose again too, at some point. Get over it.
There was someone sat a few rows behind me in the Ponty End shouting "Flitcroft out! Tha f***ing useless!" when it was 3-0. Perhaps they were thinking along those lines and I'm using the word 'thinking' quite wrongly.
Hahahahaha er, no. I know you were joking anyway, but... Flicker achieved nigh on miracle results in the latter half of last season. He can't be expected to match that and average two points a game or whatever he did in the end. Plus, he isn't an experienced gaffer. He'll need to learn and to grow into it. He made a balls up yesterday, Perkins and Dawson in the same side can only work if there's somebody else in there with them, and a flat back four doesn't seem to cut it either. I think. Not up to me though. I trust him to see it and sort it.
Spot on, tbh I think some were getting a little carried away and expected us to simply just carry on from last season when it was never going to happen. We caught a lot of teams by surprise with the intensity of our play 2nd half of last season. That surprise factor is no longer there and we now need to start coming up with something a little different
Alao I can't recall anyone running into the pitch towards tge dugout and throwing their season ticket the manager.
