Barnsley pressing very well, surely can’t keep this up the whole 90? Have a sneaking feeling we’re going to nick this one after all that Barnsley pressure... Barnsley's keeper is sat on a shooting stick with a flask and sandwiches..... Lost count how many saves Krull has made, hope they tire in the 2nd half Barnsley are playing into our hands. We are just waiting for the perfect moment to strike.... This could be 6-0 such is Barnsley's dominance. Basically we're finding out in this game how all the teams who have played us so far this season have felt. How on earth can you give your oppisiton so little of the ball yet so many chances? Excellent high pressing from Barnsley. Barnsley's keepers havin' fun..... Barnsley must have been drinking flagons of Red Bull..... Barnsley’s pressing has been impressive- thought they would tire but they haven’t. Got what we deserved, Barnsley outplayed us all over the pitch Booo! Barnsley superb. A no-show from us Man of the match- Krul Man who needs sacking- Barnsleys groundskeeper Fair play to Barnsley, one of the best performances against us this season and they worked incredibly hard all game. I'm annoyed to be out of the cup that early but can't have any complaints, we barely laid a glove on them today. Lots of credit to Barnsley for that performance, great pressing and work rate all game Fair play to Barnsley and they did well to keep that intensity up for 90. Credit their coach and their training. That was probably a brilliant game for the neutral. Like when they came to CR a few weeks ago I was impressed with Barnsley. The way they press and get in our faces really stifled us Mucho Credit To The Tykes, worked hard and pressed really well with an impressive game length energy.....Their team would still have edged that cup-tie even if their players were forced to wear flat caps, pit boots, had a whippet tied to one their ankles and a pint o' bitter in one hand and a large plate with a Sunday roast (with trimmings and Yorkshire puds).....(oh, and beefy gravy)......on t'other hand.... Good luck to 'em in the next round - and if it's Lanky Frampard's Chelsea, hope them Tykes give them Laandaan Southern Softies a reet good kickin'.....
Yes, they seem a decent bunch. Very even-handed and a nice line in humour. Much like the BBS. EDIT. They were also complimentary about the film Kes, which always goes down well with me.
Good to see that opposition fans can appreciate when they have been well beaten, even if only by one goal. Some of their comments are very funny.
High praise indeed from other team supporters. I think we're doing very well this season. We just witnessed an excellent high pressing performance, beating a Championship team who are top of the table. A very good reply to losing three league games this year already. It seems the confidence hasn't been dented at all. This team we have is growing all the time. I love them all
That's probably the most praising and honest comments I've EVER read from an opposition team following their defeat to us. Well in Norwich fans. Very classy.
Praise for the opposition rather than criticism of your own team. Refreshing to see. I made a post during the Watford game that did similar and got two pages of replies telling me I was wrong and that third placed Watford are actually crap.
I went through 11 pages of matchday thread and couldn't find a bad word about us. A couple of comments about the state of the pitch, that's all. Mostly they were a pretty relaxed bunch, although they're nervous about going up again and then coming straight back down. Their situation reminded me of ourselves, yoyoing between L1 and Championship for a few seasons, albeit at the next level.
Norwich fans are generally a decent bunch, always a good away trip there, apart from the usual defeat obviously. This guy is pretty special though..
He's a class act isn't he. If Wigan hadn't spent money they didn't have they wouldn't have gone into Administration. Oh, and they wouldn't have been playing Championship football in the first place.
Aw. I’m starting to feel bad about beating em, narr.. One of my favourite away games, Norrich. Never seen us win there, but lovely cathedral & a cracking pub on the river..
Only been to Norwich once. Mad Mel brought Currie on as sub to play on the wing then 10 minutes later hauled is ass back off.
