Shame they'll always be a plastic club with plastic fans

I don't know what the capacity is, but I'm sure they won't fill the stadium. Joke club if there ever was such a thing

Another boring characterless ground sucking the life out of football.

For God's sake - lets not allow any individualism to survive.

One thing about it. They haven't got a good old wooden stand like we have. I think Donny has the best surroundings.

I think they managed to suck any life out of football...

when they fecked off to milton keynes, and lost thousands of 'real' fans.

Agree about the stadium though, just another example of the modern day identikit staidums...one design fits all. Just hope to god we never end up with a staidum like that. Oakwell over any of the new stadiums any day (although a bit more of an atmosphere wouldn't go a miss!)

As I left the Barnsley area a few years ago, could you tell me the derivation of "Pikey". Ta.

It means gypsy, but particularly refers to Irish gypsies rather than gypsies of Romany or other origins.

I understand the new Doncaster ground has wheels on it...

When they play away from home they park it outside on some common land and tether up the horses. It takes six days to get rid of them.

Rather unusual that no-one has mentioned our glorious bit of wood.

Had a shop in Stainforth and it was surprising how much spare cash some of the gypsies had. Are people jealous that us "gorgers" as they call us, have to pay tax
and can't afford to spend 4 months of the year in the USA driving about in a top Merc. While I was there, one family was robbed of £360,000 by a crooked solicitor.
