Have to agree with regards to the kids clothing.

As you say though not the fault of BFC.

How much is it just for the short though for kids?

Just had a look misen and it is £36 for extra small boys.

Too much I think, should be more like £20.

Won't be the club though, it's JustSport that will set the pricing. Even if we wernt with JustSport, I'm sure Avec or whoever would say you will have to sell this for X amount.

I may be mistaken. Not my strongpoint and I'll gladly admit my wrongness type thing re the vat thing etc

But an adults shirt @ £44 is inc vat?
A kids one at £36 is excluding vat?

If that's right (vat 20%) then that makes the base price pence different? Even though the amount of material, stitching etc is far far less? The amount of ????'s is that I'm wanting someone to prove me wrong.

You are quite probably right but i thought the reason we stopped using nike was so we could have more freedom when it came to pricing and stuff, the current pricing suggests we don't

We've stopped using Nike, but were still under contract with JustSport (for another year I think). So it's up to them still what we sell in our shop and the pricing etc.

Just as an aside, and it really isn't a pop against BFC. My lads had a footy party at Oakwell today. So rigged him up in some new gear(Sondico on par with Avec).

Including some Puma shin pads, shirt, shorts, 2 pair of socks for £18. Yes, no name/number ont back, but still £50+ cheaper including the pads and an extra pair of socks.

Surely that's not reyt. Is it just me?!?

They've always seemed expensive, not bought one since 99/00 and I'm sure that was £40 or very close to it and that was nearly 15 years ago.

If my maths is right, which it probably isn't, the base shirt before VAT is added to it is 80p cheaper for a men's shirt than a child's. I can only assume they add more mark up to the price of a juvenile shirt as they probably sell more of them than adult shirts, but in could be wrong on that count too.

We never used Nike in the first place. We use Just Sport. Who badge up Nike kits that Sunday league sides can buy...

Sunday league clubs. Seems strangely appropriate.

For a bit in oz I worked with this guy selling football shirts at various events who had a contact in both the Adidas and Nike factories. He would get football shirts from his contacts basically guys would rob them to order for him. But the times thus failed he would buy them at gist and it was so minimal that he could make a profit at selling them less than a tenner.

It'll be polyester and Nylon is a trade name so should be capitalised.

    Yours in pedantry,

Made by someone on 10 pence an hour in a sweatshop in some poor country, probably two quid at most to make and with an heavy profit per shirt. Someone should ask Ben Mansford what he thinks of it all.
