If a player blatantly grabs an opponent by the throat in full view does that not warrant a red card. Must be classed same as raising ones hands? Not saying we deserved out but when said player then scores from the same free kick??? We were poor today and were old man'd a little but that red was dog dirt and weak. That's all, onto Monday uTR
You could argue that sticking the boot in on the tackle after the whistle has been blown and with the player on the floor could warrant a red card.
Wasn't even a free kick either. Useless officials today. For both sides. The Blunts went in hard twice early doors, a little message, old skool. We haven't a lad ont field capable of that. Scowen tries, but he's no Darren Sheridan in terms of shithousery. Brayford, Basham, Doyle and Davies ran the show in true derby game fashion.
Exactly, I said the same on an earlier thread. He wasn't even involved in the challenge yet he squared up to Pearson and then grabbed him by the throat and gets away with not even a card? Then 10 seconds later he's scoring. Great. We would probably have still gone on to lose because we were rubbish but we'll never know for sure how it would've turned out. Onto monday and changes are needed, both personnel and formation.
I thought that's what had happened. Caught a bit of radio sheffield after the game and it literally sounded like Keith Edwards banging on about how good they were, how bad we were and how fat Dale Jennings is and Derek Parker just agreeing with everything he said. I thought he'd grabbed him by the throat but Derek Parker said that the fans were getting upset over nothing. The thing that annoyed me was that it wasn't even the player that had been fouled. That's at least a booking for me straight away.
He raised his hand to Pearson so could have gone, depending on who is reffing, but it were a bit of handbags really.
Then he should have been booked too but that doesn't excuse their player one bit as it wasn't him who Pearson kicked/kicked the ball at.
