Not even a sniff of a new player

I would have thought Burns would have been replaced by someone albeit a loanee for the season, I think this could be a problem towards the last few matches. Kay has stepped in and played well at times but i still think they shoulod have brought some one in. Look at how many wingers and strikers we have at the club compared to midfielders.
Wingers,Shukers,Disco,Mcparland,Nix,Howard
Strikers,Hayes,Nads,Richards,Wright,Conlan.
Midfielders,McPhail,?????????????????????????????

Howard prefers central midfield

 

Mcphail, Howard, Kell, Tonge, Wroe, (Kay, Reid can also play their).
If Ritchie thinks we still need more cover, he still has time cos the loan window is still open (till, late March)

Howard's main position is on the left. Reid and Kay are Defenders, Kell not ready yet Wroe and Tonge not prefered ahead of defenders that can play that role

 

id class Howard as a central midfiedler. Thats why we brought in Nix and Mcparland.

exactly, switched to central midfield, thats where he plays. Hes a central midfielder who can play on the wing if need be.

 

I agree with you though

a central midfielder on loan till Kell, Tonge get back to fitness would only benefit the team. But we have enough cover till they regain fitness, e.g. Kay, Reid, Wroe (even Heslop if need be)

 

My point was there should be people playing in their natural role where possible not switching to fill a position up. If you've played in a position all your career you should stay where you play best.

They've been trying to bring someone in...

Chairman said that Andy Ritchie had tried to bring in 3 players since but they didnt come off for one reason or another. They will back him to bring in a replacement

I thought that when he was interviewed when he joined us he said his prefered position was central midfield (could be wrong like).
Which at the time was suprising cause we needed someone to play on the left.
