I didn't see anyone with buckets collecting for the Iain Hume fund.

not allowed to shout or shake the tin - classed as begging.

I was quite late in but didn't fail to notice a few stood on way into concourse.

Well lets say volunteers were thin on the ground

3 from the charity and I think about 7 others of us.

I was stood outside offices by programme seller & half time draw man, taken over by Hicksy to free me for outside Ponty turnstyles,
there was 1 outside East turnstiles, 1 in Exec suites, 1 in Ponty, 1 in West & 3 from charity (for very good reasons) in away stands. There was a bucket at the entrance to the Trust office and a lady from the Trust at the Lower Ponty turnstiles I think.

There were LOADS of buckets simply not enough helpers.

The Utmost Praise to AliTyke and Doddy

Congratulations and thanks to AliTyke and Doddy as organisers, and to the collectors who turned up. It was impossible with the number of collectors to cover all areas of the ground, so it's not surprising that some people never saw a collector. Ali got off her sickbed to stand around in the cold with a bucket today and really deserves the utmost praise.

If you wanted to donate and never got the chance, just do it online at http://www.justgiving.com/fansforiainhume

It only takes a minute and the tax relief will boost the donation by 28%.

    Well done Ali and Doddy.

If anyone still wishes to donate in cash rather than online

Could we not just keep a bucket in the Supporters Trust office on matchdays??
I can easily sort the indefinite loan of a charity bucket for the next few home games.

    Ali? Doddy? Owen?

I'm sure if we asked Owen that would be fine with one of your posters above it.

Just keep the buckets as long as you need them ... can't have folks coming out with excuses for not coughing up!

The trust have some sealed buckets, we can leave one available in the Trust office for the next few games for those who missed out.

I think that considering the number of collectors everyone did very well, from what I saw a good collection was made.

I would also recommend that people donate via the http://www.justgiving.com/fansforiainhume site, as the donations are then gift aided.

Well done to Alittyke, Doddy and all the other collectors on their efforts
