Under KH in the latter part of his first season and the frst half of his second season we were playing crap tippy tappy football and going nowhere.

Flitcroft changed this, played at a higher tempo, got in their faces and got the ball forwards quicker. In my opinion he was playing to our players strengths.

It takes a group of quality players to play the tippy tappy way and be successful, players we just don't have. But last season this same group of players showed they can win matches and when needed grind out a draw when playing a style that suits them.

Personally I think if Flicker had continued the tactics that saved us last season he would still be here now, and we wouldn't be taking about how crap our players are. I think they are just crap at playing a slow build up, stand off when defending game.

Fact that results haven't changed under Danny is probably because hes still trying to play the same style which this showing isn't capable of playing. Doesn't mean all the players are crap

Maybe, maybe not. Flitcroft certainly motivated them well, but maybe we just have to admit that several of the players hit their peak at the right time and cannot deliver to that intensity any more. In other words they, ahem, overachieved for a short period. It happens in most sports. Look at Joe Johnson. Plodded along with an average career then suddenly won the world snooker title. Got to the final the year after and then disappeared.
