South West Trains doesnt think it can get everyone from Pompey to London in time for kick off - quality service or what FA Cup Semi Final: Saturday 5 April Important information for customers planning to travel to Wembley by train for the FA Cup Semi Final on Saturday 5 April 2008. Police have warned us that extremely high numbers of fans are likely to attempt to travel to Wembley by train. Extra carriages have been added to our services. However, planned engineering works will mean longer journey times from Portsmouth to London Waterloo. This, together with the early kick off, means that we may be unable to get everyone to Wembley before the start of the game. To avoid disappointment, please purchase your tickets in advance, travel as early as possible and expect services to be extremely busy. Plan your journey and check train times
Laughable! The powers that be wonder why we drive around everywhere in cars. That is a complete joke.
I don't think I've ever known any other journey that I have had to take to be as bloody complicated It's a nightmare.
It would be if I didnt have to use the same quality service on the Sunday Journey times from Farnham to Waterloo more than doubled on Sunday do to "engineering works" so a 1 hour journey takes over 2 and a half hours. Think about that Farnham to Waterloo - total distance by road just over 40 miles So the train manages an average speed of 15mph - I could cycle it quicker
2.5 hours. 1 can per 20 minutes. 7 cans. money saved from drinking expensive london fizzy sludge....£1000. Priceless.
