2020 Euros to be held in major cities across Europe rather than having a host country. Means that we can't go and have a nice cultural holiday and support our team/ watch other games in a fairly compact region.

Makes France 2016 the last opportunity for reasonably priced travel to watch a major football tournament until the World Cup is next held in Europe (if ever!)

I'm in two minds about this one. Had such a great time in Ukraine that I will definitely be going to France 2014, and of course Russia 2018 goes without saying. However, as a one off this could be brilliant if organised properly. On the one hand it gives a lot of people the chance to attend matches not too far from home, but on the flip side of things anyone who wants to follow their team across the whole continent could end up spending an absolute fortune on flights.

I would have thought it gives a wider group of people the opportunity to go to games rather than a small minority who travel for the whole tournament.

Just been scanning UEFA's analysis of the Poland/Ukraine Euros. Said it was a great success apart from the large distances between venues!!!!!

Sorry, I'd discounted Russia as I reckon it is just about too far to cycle to. Actually means that the next proper European World Cup probably won't be in my lifetime!

Looks like we'll end up with the big European Nations playing their games at home (at least some of them). No wonder the individual Associations think it's a good idea. Tickets will be even more expensive and the whole point of tournament football played in a specific location will disappear (I guarantee that it will be hailed as a great success).

There is absolutely no doubt that the seeds will get to play their group games at home.

I agree, its a **** idea. Its a tournament and the finals should all be in one country. What a load of toss football is. What next; spreading the games over six months!! **** idea UEFA.

Worse than that is the fact they've extended it to 24 teams

Correct; there are no reasons beside financial ones for extending it to so many teams, most of whom are just going to make up the numbers.

Unfortunately, we'll be one of those teams making up the numbers.

We sure will but with such low expectations comes very little disappointment.
