    I assume the call was that the goalie moved before kick taken.

    Seen a lot more obvious than that which haven't been given and we didn't notice him move, but we had 3 last season like that against us didn't we so I'll take it

    That would be more like it....

    as the amount Speroni moved off his line to me was minimal. But it seemed like it was the linesman that made the decision to me, surely meaning movement off the line which is all the linesman does for penalties surely? I thought it was up to the ref to watch for encroachment?

    The decision was made by the linesman

    Who flagged straight away and put the flag accross his chest to indicate the kick to be retaken.

    The linesman is responsible for two things at penalties:

    Ensuring GK stays on line
    Ensuring whole of ball crosses line (if a goal)
