I've just watched the Sky highlights again and watched Shuker's disallowed goal frame by frame-neither he nor Richards were offside so it should have counted
RE: Agree with that and Austin and Hayes at fault for 2nd goal no-one picked up the obvious run by Windass for the first not sure what anyone could have done about the third tho' -an awesome header from distance into the top corner
RE: Agree with that and Lack of awareness of movement of forwards for 1 and 3 and just a failure to cut out a straightforward header by Hayes for 2. Just to be picky like.
Hayes shouldn't be asked to defend Due to the fact that he can't and he's unwilling to try. Players have different abilities. Hayes is as good a finisher as I've seen play for Barnsley. He can also make the opposition defenders look like monkeys. But he hasn't got that certain quality that makes a player put his head or his foot in when it may hurt. He just hasn't got it in him. Let's not put him in a position where the opposition can exploit that. Don't bring him back for free kicks and corners.
RE: Hayes shouldn't be asked to defend To be honest i couldnt care less how many we concede or how we conceded them, aslong as we score more than the opposition. Thats all that counts to be fair goal difference doesnt count in the FA cup. We scored 5 goals against the best defence in the league.
RE: Hayes shouldn't be asked to defend Bradford/Scnuthorpe should be the ones complaining about their defence, not us.
Hayes shouldn't be asked to defend It would make a lot more sense if he stayed forward-maybe all the centre halves wouldn't come up for corners if we left 1 or 2 up front?
I know it always seems to be me but I'm going to defend him again. He headed away 2 or 3 corners on Tuesday night and has recently headed a corner off the line at Oakwell- not sure which game it was. I agree though, he probably shouldn't come back.
